Larry Quick's Ghost Ryder

Larry is planning something never before attempted in a monster truck at the Vermonster show (see our SCHEDULE page). Ft. Wayne, IN - AMP has been doing Wheelie Contest & 2 Freestyles instead of Racing which we all know makes Larry happy as he loves to freestyle. Larry won freestyle both events both nights. Tailgator won wheelie both nights. Larry had some issues during the show on Saturday night (blown transmission lines and broken electrical lines just due to wear and tear) and Doug Noelke and his crew helped get it all back together so Larry could finish out the show. We would like a big thanks to them for all their help!

Corpus Christi, TX (3/11-13) Friday night Larry won wheelie contest, they did not call a winner for freestyle that night because Larry and one of the other trucks broke early and the other 2 trucks didn't do very good runs. So after freestyle the announcer just called it a night. Damage wasn't too bad on Ghost Ryder, broken drive shaft is all, but of course he got it all put back together and was ready to run again for Saturday night-he won wheelie contest and freestyle. Just maintenance to be done for the Sunday afternoon show-Larry won wheelie and freestyle.

LaCrosse, WI (3/4-5) Larry swept the weekend winning all freestyle and wheelie contests. We had a little bit of a motor issue, but all that had to be done was to drop the oil pan and change out a few of the rod bearings. Not near as bad as having to do another motor swap!

Loveland, CO (2/5) We had 2 shows in one day which is always tough. We had steering issues in the first show but we had them pretty well corrected in time for the second show. We did have to work through Pit Party Saturday night. Larry won Wheelie and Freestyle for the afternoon show and then wheelie again for the evening show. The steering problem that we corrected from the afternoon show reared its ugly head again one hit into freestyle during the evening show. Although the crowd gave the win to Larry for his freestyle, Larry insisted that Bigfoot's Darron Schnell be called the winner because Larry believed Darron made a way better run than his one hit. This show was a little rough on us, we had been on the road for 2 weeks and were ready to go home. We met some nice people at the show who had a local shop, they let us leave the truck there where they did all the repairs and maintenance that needed to be done so we could fly home for a few days (Casper, WY was only a few hours north of Loveland, so it was easier to leave the truck behind and fly out-not to mention it was nice to leave the Ghost Ryder behind and get some work done on the new truck without having to worry about making sure Ghost Ryder was ready for the next show). Big thanks to Leroy's of Loveland, CO!

Quick Motorsports has been on a roll, including a great event in Memphis lately. Big things coming soon!

Larry was fired up to put Ghost Ryder on the edge for the fans this past weekend, as you can see above thanks to John Roberts' great photo.

"I don't think we've lost very many freestyles all year," he said. "The truck's been running great and we have some awesome plans in the future that we'll be filling everyone in on very soon."

The Ghost Ryder team rolled into Lubbock, Texas and had another fantastic weekend, including the barn-burner of a freestyle above! Check out the photo gallery at the link below:

Larry had another fantastic weekend in New York to back up his prior performance in the Big Apple, taking more wins for the Ghost Ryder team.

"The fans in New York were great and I am absolutely LOVING this new Butler seat I have," he said. "I hope I get to run New York again next year!"

Larry took a wild ride this past weekend in Buffalo, New York. The Ghost Ryder team will be prepared for their event next weekend in Binghamton, New York, but not after making a ton of new fans with the above freestyle run. Look out, it's going to be another wild year for Quick Motorsports!

Larry Quick is determined to put on a show whereever Team Ghost Ryder goes, and in Cincinnati, that was evident all weekend. After two backflip attempts, the truck was a bit damaged, but the team will have it back together in time for next weekend in Buffalo, New York. After his first backflip, he launched into a great freestyle, and then got a cleaner backflip on the second day after a lot of hard work and repair. There is no quit in the Quick Motorsports team! Larry and the Ghost Ryder team enjoyed a great weekend in Detroit, putting on a fantastic freestyle to get the crowd on their feet! Larry and the entire Quick Motorsports/Ghost Ryder team are very excited about the places they've been and the places they're going. Quick Motorsports ran a show in Killeen, Texas and had some engine problems, grenading the new one before even getting a chance to run it. Larry and the rest of the team thrashed hard and fixed the engine in time for the show this weekend in Purvis, MS.

We will be doing a special stunt in May at the Vermonster 4x4 event. Details will be released closer to the show! Also, we're hard at work on a variety of things in the shop and will post pictures as they become available. Thanks for checking the site!

The Ghost Ryder team has been hard at work in the shop on the new chassis and new surprises (announcements to come soon). We will be updating our media section, and the first update today is footage of Larry's backflip and outstanding freestyle in Woodward, Oklahoma from earlier this summer. Enjoy!

We would like to welcome ButlerBuilt Seats to our team. Larry and the Ghost Ryder team needed a seat that could withstand the pounding of his freestyles and backflips, and ButlerBuilt has answered the call with tremendous support.

Larry and the Ghost Ryder team took a trip to Austin, Texas for a great AMP Live Events show against Brute Force, Excaliber, and Cult Energy Activator and came away victorious in freestyle with an oustanding run that included several slap wheelies, big air, and cyclone donuts to end it. When the crowd roared its approval and declared Larry and Ghost Ryder victorious, he knew he'd done his job--keeping the fans happy.

"It felt really good to go out and freestyle again and get a victory under my belt," said Larry. "I always enjoy my freestyle and try to give the fans the best show I can, and I didn't damage the truck doing it!"

Next, the team heads back to the site of the first live monster truck backflip, Bradford, Vermont for the Vermonster 4x4 5th annual Fall Festival, and you can bet we'll have some great coverage from that! Click the Vermonster 4x4 image above to check it out!

The Ghost Ryder team was back in action, this time in Fayetteville, North Carolina, and with a perfect three-for-three in successful backflips, as seen below:

This brings the total to 16 landed and 4 crashed. This weekend brought a little damage each time, but nothing too serious. In a few days, the team will be off to Austin, Texas for a September 18 show with AMP Live Events. More videos to come, as well as an update to our Media section!

He's done it again! Larry Quick came to I80 Speedway in Nebraska for another great weekend of thrills, and ended on a high note with a fantastic backflip, as seen above. A bit of damage to the transmission, but none the worse for wear otherwise! A week off for repairs and work on our two new trucks is up next; stay tuned for more!

The weekend of July 23 found the Ghost Ryder Team in Vinton, Iowa competing against Bear Foot and Torqzilla. We competed against these drivers in Wheelie Contest, Side by Side Racing, and Freestyle. The evening brought the Ghost Ryder team victories in both the Wheelie and Freestyle competitions.

Before Larry came out on the track for freestyle, the track crew brought out a trailer and reset some larger obstacles for Ghost Ryder's run. Larry ran a great freestyle (video coming soon), but had some minor damage to the truck. After jumping over the trailer, a tab for one of the 4-link bars broke, causing damage to all four of the front shocks on the truck.

After a few days at the shop, the truck was good as new and the Ghost Ryder team was ready to go for their next show in Columbia, MO.

In Columbia, we ran against Bear Foot, Torqzilla, Quadzilla, and Desperado. This show was set for the 30th, but was rained out and rescheduled for Saturday afternoon. There was no damage to the truck, and we won wheelie and freestyle. The Ghost Ryder team has had several additions to our Schedule page; be sure to check them out! Our next show is this weekend, August 7th in Woodward, OK at the Crystal Beach Stadium for Checkered Flag Productions. This show is a backflip for us.

Welcome to the new site for Larry Quick's Ghost Ryder and Quick Motorsports! Larry had a great weekend in Hunnewell Valley, and heads to Fargo, North Dakota July 17. Have a look around the site; more content will be added tomorrow!

This past weekend in Kallispell, Montana marked the first successful backflip Larry did without any damage! Friday night's show was the magic moment, and afterwards, Ghost Ryder put on a quick freestyle for the fans. After some adjustments for Saturday's flip, the truck came away with some front end damage. Next up is July 3-4 in Hunnewell Valley!

The Ghost Ryder team has been staying extremely busy, completing many successful backflips and even taking a few freestyle victories at shows along the way. Next up is a show this weekend in Farley, Iowa for B and B Promotions, followed by a backflip-only two-day show in Kallispell, Montana for Checkered Flag Productions June 18-19. Larry is working on the new trucks as well in his spare time. We plan on having the new site complete and online by the end of the month; for now, keep checking back for updates!
